FMLA

As an IUPUI employee, you may want to use FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) leave when an illness or pregnancy occurs. Employee Assistance Program

To deal with the problems of stress, as well as other issues that may be interfering with an employee's day-to-day well-being (workplace conflict, alcohol/drug concerns, grief, child/elderly care issues, relationship problems, etc.), Indiana University has established a confidential (in accordance with state and federal law) Employee Assistance Program (IUEAP) for all full-time, appointed academic and staff employees as well as their household members. Call 1-888-234-8327 (toll free) to set an appointment with the EAP or go to http://www.indiana.edu/~uhrs/benefits/eap.html for more about the EAP. Part-time or hourly employees with counseling needs should call 274-8931 for referral.

Fee Courtesy

Eligible individuals may receive an IU subsidy toward the tuition costs associated with attending Indiana University classes. Go to https://www.hra.iupui.edu/feecourtesy.asp for IUPUI details and forms.

Employee Discounts

At times, the JagTag office will offer opportunities to purchase discounted tickets for amusement parks and other venues. For details, visit the JagTag Web site at http://www.jagtag.iupui.edu and click on "JagTag Discounts" in the menu on left to check for current opportunities, prices and acceptable methods of payment. Student Subsidy for Childcare

Pell Grant students may qualify for subsidized childcare at the IUPUI Center for Young Children. Call 274-3508.

Travel Immunizations

Going to an exotic destination and need immunizations and/or information about immunizations? Dr. Tom Jones, in IU hospital, can help. Call 274-1321. This is NOT a free service but his level of expertise on current concerns around the globe is most helpful. IUPUI Occupational Health Services also offers travel immunizations and the cost is lower.

Senior Academy

International

Interested in German American history and events? The Max Kade German American Research and Resource Center, through the School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI, coordinates lectures, exhibits, performances, seminars, conferences and workshops, with both historical and contemporary dimensions.
