Personal/Professional Development

"Learn to listen. Opportunity could be knocking
at your door very softly." Frank Tyger

Part of the satisfaction an employee derives from the job may be related to opportunities for career advancement, and smart students who want to get a jump on their careers while still in school can tap into most of these opportunities, too. Here are a few IUPUI groups that can help:

Employment/Internships/Civic Engagement
Experiences gained through various jobs, student internships and community service can aid a person who is seeking to enhance/embark upon a career. Check out Human Resources Administration job opportunities by visiting http://www.hra.iupui.edu. Students may also want to check out the IUPUI Career Center website at http://www.career.iupui.edu/studentsf.html and link to JagJobs, their on-line database. (This database is password protected. To get a username and password, request this through the link on the website.) For internships, students should check with the department of interest. The IUPUI Center for Service and Learning can help staff, students and faculty identify volunteer opportunities in the community through the IUPUI Volunteer Listserv.
