Checking the Status of an Application
Once you apply for a position online, your application
comes to the Human Resources office for screening. Employment
consultants review your application materials to verify that you meet
the department’s requirements for the position and determine your
eligibility for referral. This process may take up to three business
days.
To see if your application has been referred for a
position,

Make sure that at least three business days have
passed since the day that you applied for the position.

Click the “Check Status of an Application” link at
the bottom of this screen to login to your account and view the
status of your applications.
You will be able to view the positions you have applied
for listed by date. If your application has been referred, you will see
the date of referral listed in the Referral Date column next to each
position.
If after three business days there is no date listed in
the Referral Date column, your application was not referred for the
position. If your application was not referred,

You may not have met all of the minimum
qualifications that were required for the position.

You may lack desired qualifications that the
department has decided to screen against.

You may be an internal applicant who has not yet
completed the required amount of probationary time in your current
position and who has not obtained the proper authorization to apply
for positions from your supervisor.

You may be a past employee who is not eligible for
rehire.
If your application did get referred for the position,
your materials have been made available to the hiring department. If
selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly by the hiring
department. This phase may take several weeks.
